I’ve founded and sold two companies at the intersection of hard-tech and deep-tech in additive manufacturing. The first, The Invention Works, developed advanced polymer 3D printing technology and was acquired by Autodesk in 2014. The second, Holo, spun out from Autodesk in 2017 and focused on breakthrough metal additive manufacturing solutions. Though we faced some challenges, Holo was ultimately sold to private equity in 2024.

I grew up in London, spent nearly a decade living and working in San Francisco, and now call New York home. Before moving to the Bay, I earned my PhD in aerospace engineering from the University of Bristol, where I focused on supersonic aerodynamics, designing and testing rocket nozzles.

Outside of engineering and startups, music is my greatest passion. I trained at the Royal Academy of Music as a concert pianist, and have remained an active player and performer ever since. I often joked when I moved to San Francisco that all I needed was a mattress and a piano. It turns out that’s about as much as I can cram into a New York apartment.
